 1) What information do media companies use to create a demographic profile of their audience?

2) Why are media companies and advertisers increasingly using audience profiling and not just demographics?

They use audience profiling as it further represents their audiences values and personalities. 

3) What are the seven different Psychographic groups? 

1)the aspirer 
2)the reformer
3)the mainstream
4)the resigned
5)the struggler
6)the succeeder 
7)the explorer 

4) Write a brief summary of what each Psychographic group is seeking or motivated by.

aspirers are materialistic and value their status and persona, reformers are the polar opposite and are authentic and they believe that the core need in life is enlightenment. the explorers are young in nature and they indulge and discover in life. succeeders possess self-confidence they seek reward, but their aggressive attitude means that they need an occasional break

5) What psychographic group or groups do YOU belong in? Think about your own interests and lifestyle and explain your decision. Remember, you may fit into two or three different groups!
